‘Galaxy S6 gets 4GB of memory’ – Android Planet
The Galaxy S6 gets 4GB of memory, bringing the number of RAM is aligned to most laptops and PCs
Normally, high-end smartphones are equipped with 2 or 3GB of RAM. Thus, the Galaxy S5 2GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 4 total 3GB RAM.
Samsung has announced that it has developed a RAM module with a capacity of 4GB, which is suitable for use in mobile devices. This will most likely be used in the upcoming flagship of the South Korean manufacturer.
If the Galaxy S6 RAM is 4GB, the memory could perform tasks faster. These tasks range from processing photos with high resolution up to running apps. According to Samsung the new memory performs 50 percent faster than the current 2GB-variant, which is currently used in aircraft. In addition, the new RAM module would be about 40 percent more energy efficient than its predecessor.
It is expected that the Galaxy S6 in the second quarter of 2015 will appear on the market.
